Field Service Technician

-- MISSION --

As our on-site technical expert, you will be the trusted authority and primary client contact for our advanced energy plants. You will have the autonomy and responsibility to ensure the continuous, optimal performance of these assets.

-- RESPONSIBILITIES --

• Become the on-site authority for the complete lifecycle management of our energy systems, from complex troubleshooting and diagnostics to preventative maintenance and major overhauls.
• Serve as the primary reference point for the client, providing expert technical guidance and ensuring the highest levels of satisfaction and plant uptime.
• Apply your systems-level thinking to diagnose and resolve complex electrical and mechanical issues across the entire plant, including the prime mover, generator, and balance-of-plant equipment.
• Take full ownership of your assigned sites, proactively managing maintenance schedules, preparing material lists, and maintaining the plant in a clean, safe, and professional condition.
• Collaborate with our global team of remote monitoring engineers to perform root cause analysis and implement lasting solutions.
• Complete detailed service reports and assist the Area Manager with labor and parts estimates for repairs and upgrades.

-- WHAT WILL YOU BE WORKING ON --

You will become an expert on some of the most advanced energy technology in the world:

• High-Efficiency Cogeneration (CHP) Modules: Fully containerized power plants built around large-bore industrial gas engines. You will work on the entire system, including the generator set, sophisticated PLC-based controls, heat recovery units, and grid-interconnection switchgear.
• Biogas Upgrading & Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Plants: Complex processing facilities that purify raw biogas into pipeline-quality biomethane. This involves working with advanced membrane separation systems, gas compressors, and intricate process controls.

-- REQUIREMENTS --

• You have 3-5 years of hands-on maintenance experience with complex industrial systems.
• You possess a technical degree or equivalent vocational training.
• You are a true "mechatronics" professional with a balanced and deep knowledge of large engines, mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical power generation and control systems.
• You are fluent in reading and interpreting both electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
• You are an expert with the diagnostic tools of the trade, from multimeters and laptops to precision mechanical instruments.
• You are a reliable, curious, and self-motivated professional who thrives in an autonomous role where your expertise is respected.
• You have excellent communication skills and the professionalism to act as the face of our company to the client.
• You are flexible and available to travel to client sites as needed.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License and be authorized to work in the USA
