Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet and provide an unprecedented opportunity to help bring the global economy within everyones reach.About the TeamStripes Mid Market Solutions Architecture (SA) team works with technical and business leaders (CTO, CIO, CEO, founders, etc.), payments leaders, and product engineering teams in the mid-market segment to evangelize Stripes solutions. A solutions architect builds relationships with decision makers, thinks strategically about customers business needs, and proposes Stripe solutions to drive growth and solve complex challenges.What Youll DoAs a member of the team, the Solutions Architect will build highly consultative trusted relationships with C-level executives and technical decision makers, provide business and technical thought leadership, and become a trusted advisor in solving mission-critical business challenges. The role involves architecting business models that enable new monetization opportunities for both the customer and Stripe.ResponsibilitiesDrive thought leadership and build executive relationships with key stakeholders including CIO, CTO, COO, CRO, CDO & Head of Payments, becoming a trusted advisor.Deeply understand the customers business objectives and apply Stripes payments, SaaS, Banking-as-a-Service and Link Network solutions to customer challenges.Secure the technical win for Stripes products by delivering demos, responding to RFPs, evangelizing Stripes products, and collaborating internally on narratives that align with the customers goals.Create scalable processes (1:M customer engagements, webinars, office hours, etc.), partnerships (external and internal), and reusable assets (videos/templates) to act as a force-multiplier in the sales process.Expand Stripes footprint within existing accounts to new global markets and business units by introducing new capabilities and local payment methods.Collaborate with go-to-market, product, and marketing teams to deliver impactful EBC briefings for Mid Market accounts.Act as the voice of the customer to inform the product team on insights, trends, and opportunities across Mid Market accounts.Work closely with professional services and partners to accelerate activations and time to live.Collaborate with partners to help Stripe scale and reach its total addressable market.Travel up to 25% for in-person engagement with customers and internal teams.Minimum Requirements2 years of experience in a similar customer-facing engineering role (solutions architect, sales engineer, customer success, professional services delivery) within fintech/payment-tech or global software enterprise.Experience presenting and architecting solutions; domain experience in the payments space preferred.Deep understanding or background in writing code in at least two of Stripes primary deployment languages (Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Java, Go, etc.).Outstanding oral and written communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.Able and willing to learn Stripe solutions (Payments, Billing, Connect, etc.).Understanding of how a wide variety of technologies and systems interact (ERP, CRM, Billing, Tax, Legacy).Executive engagement skills and presence, with a proven ability to build credibility at all levels.Strong organizational/time-management skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities.Strong collaboration skills to work seamlessly with the broader GTM team.Experience solving open-ended business problems with technology and creative thinking.Ability to travel as needed.In-Office ExpectationsOffice-assigned Stripes in most locations are expected to spend at least 50% of the time in their local office or with users. Expectations vary by team and location (e.g., 80% in Bucharest, 100% in delivery center roles).Pay and BenefitsThe annual US base salary range for this role is $167,200$250,800. For sales roles, the target earnings include commissions/bonuses.
