Software Engineer - Frontend (Boston)

We're looking for a dynamic Software Engineer (Frontend) to join our team. As a key member, you will lead agile development cycles from inception to deployment, ensuring our systems are optimized for scalability and performance. Collaboration is key, and you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance user experiences and streamline workflows. An ideal candidate will bring a strong architectural mindset, a passion for AWS and cloud technologies, and the ability to automate processes for maximum operational efficiency.

This position primarily emphasizes frontend development, comprising approximately 80% of the workload, with the remaining 20% dedicated to backend tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment
• Architect and provide guidance on building end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale
• Work primarily in React, Node.js and Ruby to improve our user experience
• Engage with inspiring designers and front-end engineers, and collaborate with leading back-end engineers as we create reliable APIs
• Collaborate across time zones via Jira, Slack, GitHub comments, documentation through Notion or Google Docs, and video conferences
• Analyze manual processes and automate them whenever possible to ensure a smooth operation of workflows
• Work in partnership with fellow developers on implementing new ideas, features, and apps
• Collaborate with Product Managers, QA Engineers, Customer Support, and fellow software engineers to deliver features that meet our customers' needs
• Research and prototype new technologies that can improve pipelines and build processes
• Perform additional tasks and/or duties as assigned
  
  

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required
• 3 years of experience building React-based frontend applications and web apps
• Strong focus on design, code quality, and user experience, with a curiosity for frontend technologies like Next.js
• Proficient in React, Node.js, TypeScript, and designing/integrating RESTful APIs; knowledge of Ruby is a plus
• Comfortable across all stages of the product life cycle - analysis, design, coding, testing, and troubleshooting
• Strong debugging, optimization, and unit/integration testing experience
• Experience with Heap or similar tool is a bonus
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  
  

$125,000 - $135,000 a year
