Senior Software Engineer-Full Stack

Digital Products At K. Hovnanian

To support this ambitious company-wide transformation weve created a new Digital Products organization with a mission to help modernize the technology stack at K. Hovnanian to drive efficiencies across the organization and improve the homebuying experience.

You will operate at the intersection of customer experience, modern technologies and foundational AI-enabled product development as we roll-out our digital product strategy. You will be part of a small team that operates as a startup within the broader organization and works closely with the Corporate Information Services team.

Your Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to play a critical role in building new consumer-facing products, help support internal tools, and implement cutting edge AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product management and design to build solutions for K. Hovnanians customer challenges.
• Lead frontend development using Next.js.
• Provide thought leadership and guidance on critical decisions around front end state management and architecture.
• Share ownership of feature development and planning, including architecture decisions, maintenance, error/bugs remediation, etc.
• Work collaboratively with other members of the IT / Corporate Information Services team to ensure seamless integration between different components and delivery of the application.
• Consistently ship features and improvements with minimal guidance and support from other team members.
• Adhere to the Companys internal control policies and procedures for building software.
  
  

Qualifications

Education And Experience Requirements

• Significant experience working on a react codebase (ideally 5 years).
• Experience working with modern full-stack frameworks, specifically Next.js.
• Comfort working in a highly agile, iterative software development process.
• Confident making architecture decisions that will build upon the foundations of our stack.
• Knowledge of Python is preferred.
• Understanding of working with data from SQL databases.
• Ability to analyze information and understanding of the software development lifecycle.
