Senior Software Engineer Android

SoundHounds Engineering team builds products enjoyed by over 300 million users around the globe, and maintains a set of SDKs giving developers easy access to our Voice AI platform, Houndify.

Our Mobile Engineering team at SoundHound is responsible for shipping two revolutionary applications: SoundHound, a popular Music and Search app, and Hound, a natural language personal assistant. In this role, you'll leverage SoundHound's cutting-edge backend technology to delight our users worldwide. You will work with a passionate and collaborative team to create polished mobile experiences, contributing to features like 'LiveLyrics' and Hound's natural speech understanding. Interested? Responsibilities

• Architect and develop Android applications using the latest standards.
• Transform concepts and specifications into functional app features.

Requirements

• Published an app on the Google Play Store, individually or as part of a team.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Deep knowledge of Android and Java programming.
• Understanding of object-oriented design and patterns.
• Experience with server API-driven development.
• Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced startup environment with tight schedules and small teams.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
