- Carry out transitions of Layer 2 circuits from Cyan Z-Series platforms onto Ciena RSP systems (SAOS 10).
- Provision, test, and verify new services ahead of scheduled change windows.
- Execute service transitions during planned maintenance periods, working closely with customer personnel.
- Adhere to existing migration guidelines while contributing suggestions for process enhancements.
- Monitor, record, and communicate progress throughout the migration to maintain accuracy and alignment.
- Act as the key technical liaison between the customer and internal teams during the residency.
- Proven, practical experience working with Ciena RSP systems and the SAOS 10 operating environment (essential).
- Solid understanding of core Layer 2 protocols and technologies, including VLANs, QinQ, and Ethernet-based services.
- Background in performing network migrations or cutovers within active production/customer environments.
- Demonstrated capability to operate autonomously while delivering results in a client-facing setting.
