The City of Hollywood is looking for a Network Engineer (Systems Administrator) that is a results driven professional with proven leadership and organizational skills and strong commitment to team environment dynamics. This position is a part of the Network and Server Operations team in the Information Technology Department. In this role, you will provide full stack hardware and software technical support for City-wide network systems, to include local area network, wide area network, internet system, computers, desktops and/or mobile devices.
You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, repairing and optimizing the following Microsoft servers: network storage and backup services, application server, installation servers, security servers and stand-alone/virtualized servers. You will make recommendations for new server hardware, server maintenance and hardware upgrades to ensure system and data integrity, security, accessibility and availability.

Starting Salary For this Position is within $79,718.53 - $95,000 Annually Dependent On Qualifications.
Under the general direction of the Director of Information Technology or designee, incumbent performs highly advanced technical and analytical work involving the design, implementation, management and troubleshooting of the City's Local (LAN) and Metropolitan Area (MAN) Networks, implementing client/server applications, and providing technical and user support for the City's information systems. The incumbent ensures that the performance and availability and security of the server and network infrastructures are maintained to the highest standards in order that maximum productivity is achieved. Work is reviewed through conferences and results obtained.

Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or closely related field from an accredited college or university.
- Six (6) years of responsible experience in the management of at least a 500 user network with multiple edge devices.
- Experience in administering Security, Server(Physical and Virtual), Storage, and Network systems
- Demonstrated knowledge of Windows Server, Exchange/O365, Hypervisors, Network and System Security, Backups and Business Continuity.
- Current certification in one of the following or equivalent: Microsoft MCSA, CISCO CCNA, CISSP
