Network Engineer II

Link Technologies (LinkTechConsulting.com), a Las Vegas, NV based IT consulting firm, is currently seeking a Network Engineer II to join our team.

Qualifications

• Experience with the following is required:
• Cisco Routing/Switching, Data Center Networking
• Palo Alto Firewalls, Remote Access
  
  

Experience with the following is a plus:

• Aruba - Wireless, Authentication Services
• Infoblox - DNS, DHCP, IPAM
• F5 - Traffic Management, Web Application Firewall
• SolarWinds - Monitoring
• Azure - Cloud Networking
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an enterprise environment with proven expertise.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting and troubleshooting telecommunications applications and other support applications in a customer serviceoriented environment.
• Self-motivated and able to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Capable of communicating effectively with stakeholders, team members, and leadership in both written and verbal formats.
• Must be available for on-call work as needed.
• Experience offering leadership in a team-oriented, collaborative setting.
• Bachelors Degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
• Must be able to sit at a computer for extended periods.
• Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers, devices, and peripherals.
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting company-wide culture and customer service standards at all times.
• Deploy, configure, manage, and optimize data and voice networking infrastructure to support business services and applications.
• Consult with other engineers to identify current operating procedures and clarify design and implementation objectives.
• Formulate plans using industry standard techniques to outline tasks required to deliver committed user stories.
• Address and resolve network performance and availability issues in a cost-effective and timely fashion.
• Participate with other members of a product team to operate, optimize, and support networks in a production environment.
