Sr Systems Administrator

Overview

The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for managing enterprise infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, and supporting internal teams across the organization. This role requires strong expertise in Windows Server, virtualization, cloud platforms, and Microsoft technologies, with a focus on delivering secure, reliable, and efficient IT operations.

Requirements / Skills

• Cloud Environment: Hybrid or fully cloud-hosted environment; Azure preferred (admin/cloud-level experience).

• Virtual Machines: Experience setting up virtual servers in Azure from scratch.

Azure Active Directory / Azure Entra

Azure backups, failover, and storage account management

• Windows Administration: Strong Windows Server experience, including Group Policies.
• Automation / Scripting: Proficient in PowerShell; ability to troubleshoot and automate tasks entirely via scripts.
• Cloud Exposure: Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, and GCP in hybrid cloud environments.
• Cloud Hosting: Familiarity with fully cloud-hosted and hybrid infrastructures.
• Identity & Access Management: Experience with Azure AD and on-prem Active Directory integration.
• Office Administration: Skilled in user management, permissions, and troubleshooting within O environments.
  
  

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Administer Microsoft Active Directory, Azure (VMs, Entra, SSO), and Windows Server (patching, backups, new builds, updates).
• Manage Microsoft Office administration and related services.
• Draft technical documentation for both technical and non-technical staff.
• Support internal and external audits related to policy rules and change management processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  
  

Education and Experience Required

• Minimum years of systems administration experience.
• At least years managing virtual environments.
• Minimum years of experience with Azure or AWS.
• MCSE or equivalent certifications preferred.
• Azure certifications (, AZ-) a plus.
  
  

Skills and Abilities Required

• Strong experience with cloud technologies.
• Proficient in Office , Active Directory, and MS Entra.
• Highly proficient with Windows Server .
• Expertise in virtualization platforms.
• Strong Powershell, GPO, DNS, DHCP, and DFS skills.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and GitHub.

• Work closely with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver solutions on time.
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations to team members and management.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
