Job Responsibilities
Verification Planning & Execution
- Analyze requirements and design comprehensive test strategies and plans for new features and hardware.
- Perform functional, performance, stress, and regression testing across all product layers.
- Participate in ERD reviews, providing actionable feedback to strengthen design quality.
- Maintain and enhance automated regression systems, updating scripts as needed.
- Analyze nightly and weekend regression results to identify trends or systemic issues.
- Partner with developers, PV engineers, and QA teams to ensure test coverage and consistent product reliability.
- Report and track defects promptly, ensuring issues are communicated and resolved efficiently.
Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in software product verification.
- Strong proficiency in Python or TCL for scripting and automation.
- Solid understanding of networking principles (Ethernet, TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, Layer 2/3 protocols).
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and related tools (Jira).
- Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., GitHub).
- Experience working in CI/CD environments, including test automation with Jenkins.
- PostgreSQL experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Spirent TestCenter (preferred).
- Hands-on experience with embedded systems troubleshooting and virtual machines.
- Strong understanding of the OSI model and Layer 2/3 networking.
- Experience with Wireshark capture and analysis (a plus).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for quality and innovation.
