IT System Administrator

INTERMOUNTAIN FARMERS ASSOCIATION, (IFA) is a regional farm supply co-op with diverse operations including feed production, agronomy services, and retail farm stores throughout the intermountain west. We are currently seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of IT SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR.

SUMMARY: This position performs tasks as assigned in configuration, installation, and maintenance of data and voice server systems as well as provides helpdesk support for end users. After-hours, on-call support on a rotating basis is expected

Responsibilities

• Provides support to the Information Technology Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team by providing high-performance, highly available Information Systems services in direct support of the cooperative's business and mission needs.
• Supports all virtualization-based O&M tasking of deployed server solutions backed by Microsoft, Linux, Nutanix, and VMware. Configure, install, and maintain Microsoft and Linux OS servers in both virtual and physical environments.
• Document server operations.
• Administer Exchange 365 e-mail system and Barracuda Security Gateway. Provide disaster recovery for all servers and corporate desktops.
• Works alongside the Information Systems Manager to support the exploration, investigation, research, analysis, and assessment of new virtualization, storage, and data protection technologies, methods, and/or approaches to modernize and improve upon existing Infrastructure solutions.
• Assists in protecting networked devices from unauthorized intrusion managed by Sentinel One. Assists maintaining operation of WAN and LAN networks.
• Assists Tier I and Tier II support for retail point of sale, and supporting personnel computer and telephony systems utilizing Atera helpdesk RMM/PSA .
• Answer incoming calls, solve complex inquiries from end users, or route inquiries to the appropriate resource. Monitor, maintain, and distribute helpdesk activity.
• Establish goals and prioritize daily and weekly activities to meet them. Administer after hours' on-call support on a rotating basis. Perform other related duties and tasks as required.
  
  

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a computer science discipline or comparable level of experience preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator required, with advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Active directory, Microsoft Entra, Microsoft 365 and Exchange. Experience with vCenter/vSphere required. Nutanix and Atera experience are a plus.
• Must have high level of technical knowledge relative to the installation and connectivity of server systems, including configuration, maintenance, and support of new and existing server solutions.
• Competent in taking calls and demonstrated ability to diagnose, isolate, troubleshoot, and fix technical issues under pressure.
• Must have good communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills. Self-driven, and resourceful with a strong sense of urgency and a willingness to see all task through to completion.
• On-call availability required. Must maintain a current driver's license and the ability to drive company vehicles.
