- Managing backup and recovery processes
- Troubleshooting database issues and ensuring timely resolution
- Supporting application deployments and SQL development requests
- Collaborating with Infrastructure teams to enhance SQL availability
- Implementing Microsoft SQL AlwaysOn Availability Groups (AAG) where appropriate
Key deliverables and milestones include:
- Initial onboarding and environment review
- Establishment of standardized database maintenance routines
- Implementation of improved monitoring, tuning, and optimization processes
- Enhancement of backup and restore strategies
- Optimization of existing database environments
- Coordinated implementation of AAG for improved high availability
- Ongoing monthly health checks and performance reports
Performance will be evaluated using the following metrics:
