Job title: Taxi Driver Company: Executive Shuttle Solutions Location: Ottumwa, Iowa Employment type: Full-time and part-time positions available Pay: [$XX.XX per hour / commission split] plus tips

Executive Shuttle Solutions is looking for safe, reliable and friendly drivers to get our passengers where they need to go on time. You'll be the face of our company on every ride, so a great attitude and strong customer service matter as much as good driving. Previous experience is a plus, but we'll train the right person.

Key responsibilities

• Pick up and drop off passengers safely and on time, following dispatch instructions or street hails
• Greet every passenger courteously and help with luggage, groceries or mobility needs when asked
• Plan efficient routes using GPS and local knowledge, and adjust for traffic, weather and road closures
• Follow all traffic laws, company policies and local taxi regulations at all times
• Collect fares accurately, process cash and card payments, and keep trip records complete
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical or safety issues right away
• Keep the vehicle clean, presentable and stocked inside and out
• Handle passenger questions, complaints or difficult situations calmly and professionally
• Report accidents, incidents or lost items to dispatch promptly

Requirements

• Must be at least 25 years of age (required by our insurance carrier)
• Valid driver's license, plus any chauffeur or for-hire license required by state and local law
• Clean driving record — must pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check
• Clean criminal background check
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening [remove if not applicable]
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, patient and professional attitude
• Good communication skills and the ability to speak and understand English
• Comfortable using a smartphone, GPS and card payment devices
• Must be able to drive safely in all weather conditions, including snow, ice and heavy rain
• Able to work flexible hours, which may include nights, weekends and holidays
• Able to lift up to [50] lbs to assist with luggage

Preferred qualifications

Previous experience is preferred but not required — we provide training for new drivers.

• Prior experience as a taxi, rideshare, delivery or professional driver
• Customer-facing experience in hospitality, retail or a similar field
• Knowledge of local streets, landmarks, hotels and the airport
