Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and vacuums.
- Handle chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or contamination.
- Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of supplies and equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces, trash removal, and restocking supplies as needed.
- Operate cleaning machinery efficiently, ensuring proper maintenance and safety protocol adherence at all times.
- Support facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs and reporting larger issues promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding courteously to staff or visitors’ cleaning-related needs and inquiries.
Qualifications
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, commercial cleaning tools, and sanitation practices is highly desirable.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely and follow chemical handling safety procedures diligently.
- Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking during shifts.
