Executive Search Placement is partnering with a high-growth, AI infrastructure company to identify a Director of Capital Markets – a highly visible, strategic role responsible for leading capital planning, managing private credit relationships, and supporting large-scale infrastructure expansion during a critical phase of growth.
Compensation: $225 / Equity / Comprehensive Benefits Package
This opportunity offers the ability to step into a true ownership role—building and leading the capital planning function while working directly with executive leadership and institutional capital partners.
Key Responsibilities
Capital Strategy & Planning
- Lead multi-year capital planning and infrastructure funding strategy
- Build and maintain debt and capital structure models
- Evaluate financing structures (unitranche, DDTLs, revolvers, equity)
- Align capital strategy with operational growth initiatives
- Support real estate and data center financing initiatives
Private Credit & Lender Management
- Own relationships with private credit funds and direct lenders
- Lead lender communication, reporting, and deal execution
- Negotiate credit agreements and financing structures
- Expand lender network to optimize cost of capital
Treasury & Risk
- Oversee liquidity strategy and cash flow forecasting
- Manage interest rate and capital risk exposure
- Support investment strategy for excess cash
Executive Reporting & Buildout
- Deliver capital and liquidity reporting to leadership
- Support board-level capital strategy discussions
- Build and scale capital markets function and processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree/MBA or equivalent advanced degree
- 8–12 years across private credit, direct lending, or leveraged finance
- Deep experience with structured debt (unitranche, DDTLs, revolvers)
- Strong capital modeling and financial structuring expertise
- Experience executing complex financing transactions
- Background in capital-intensive or infrastructure environments preferred
Additional Qualifications
- Experience with SPVs, multi-entity structures, or project finance
- Advanced financial modeling capabilities
- Lender relationship management experience
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent financing initiatives
Preferred Background
- Infrastructure, data center, or energy experience
- Prior experience within a private credit fund or direct lending platform
- Corporate finance / treasury / capital markets leadership experience
- Familiarity with structured credit or asset-based financing
- Existing relationships within the private credit ecosystem
