Sales Engineer – mechanical engineering; heavy trucks

International motion control manufacturer needs a Sales Engineer to grow OEM sales within the heavy-duty trucking sector. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience selling into heavy-duty truck OEMs and understands the technical and commercial dynamics of chassis and drivetrain components.
- Manage and grow relationships with heavy-duty truck OEM customers.
- Identify new business opportunities and drive revenue growth within assigned accounts.
- Act as the engineering point of contact for customers, supporting product selection and application engineering.
- Lead RFQ/RFI processes, including cost estimation, proposal development, and contract negotiation.
- Collaborate with internal engineering and manufacturing to ensure successful product launches.
- Support prototype development, validation, and production.
- Provide market intelligence, competitive insights, and customer feedback to internal stakeholders.
- Travel to customer sites as needed.
- Products include tie rods, steering arms / drag links, kingpin bearings, planetary gear sets, control arms, ball joints.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 10% Travel nationally and internationally
- Minimum 3 years’ experience selling to heavy-duty trucking OEMs
- Strong understanding of chassis, steering, and drivetrain components
- Ability to translate technical requirements into commercial solutions
- Familiarity with CAD software
