Job Overview
Our New Orleans, Metairie and Lafayette LA clients are seeking several attorneys to fill a variety of roles: those with 3 years of recent Labor & Employment, Medical Malpractice, Workers Compensation Defense and/or Insurance Defense experience. All are reputable, well-regarded firms and offer full benefits packages.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel on aforementioned matters, including compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Conduct thorough research on relevant laws and regulations to support case strategies.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts.
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop effective legal strategies.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and industry trends within relevant area(s) of practice that may impact clients.
- Manage case files efficiently, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to practice law in Louisiana.
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in legal drafting and the ability to litigate effectively on behalf of clients.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly.
- A detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
