Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, changing linens, and sanitizing bathrooms to ensure pristine conditions.
- Handle various cleaning tasks such as floor care, chemical agent handling, and industrial cleaning using appropriate equipment like vacuums, mops, and scrubbers.
- Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and laundry rooms by executing janitorial and custodial duties efficiently.
- Follow safety procedures by adhering to safety data sheets (SDS), properly handling chemical agents, and practicing safe manual handling techniques during heavy lifting or moving supplies.
- Restock amenities and supplies in guest rooms and public spaces to meet hotel standards of hospitality.
- Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns related to cleanliness or comfort, providing excellent customer service with a positive attitude.
- Support hotel emergency procedures when necessary, ensuring safety protocols are followed during incidents or safety drills.
Requirements
- Previous hotel housekeeping experience or custodial experience is highly preferred; familiarity with hotel housekeeping management is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged standing or walking throughout shifts.
- Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and the use of cleaning equipment and chemical agents safely.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to maintain high standards of cleanliness consistently.
- Good communication skills for effective customer service and teamwork within the hospitality environment.
- Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) to ensure safe working practices.
