Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will work in various settings, including home care, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and group homes. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Monitor and document vital signs and changes in clients' health conditions
- Administer medications as prescribed and assist with care plans
- Perform patient observation to ensure safety and well-being
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and engagement
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks
- Assist with mobility needs, including the use of equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities or conditions such as Alzheimer’s or dementia through specialized care techniques
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery
Experience
Ideal candidates will possess a background in caregiving or related fields. Experience that is beneficial includes:
- First aid and CPR certification
- Group home experience or working with people with disabilities
- Home health or hospice care experience
- Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and vital signs assessment
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality
- Experience in senior care settings or long-term care environments
- Skills in cooking and meal preparation tailored to dietary needs
