What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook position at Executive Health and Sports Center?
LINE COOK PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Join our team! Professional line cook to help support all food and beverage initiatives, including but not limited to proper food preparation, stocking, cooking, frying, following food quality standards, labeling, dating, ensuring food safety requirements are met or exceeded, and ultimately ensuring complete customer, and company satisfaction as it relates to food preparation and delivery of food within the different department venues.
LINE COOK RESPONSIBILITIES:
Execute menus provided from the company, set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies, prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces), cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff, answer, report and follow Food & Beverage Director/Kitchen Manager’s instructions, Clean up station and take care of leftover food, Stock inventory appropriately, Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion, Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards, Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS WORKING CONDITIONS:
Applicant must be be flexible to help cover shifts at multiple locations when needed. This position requires the ability to work at least 4 hour shifts. It also requires the ability to work evenings (no late nights) and weekends depending on the business’ needs. Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and be able to stand for long periods of time.
EXPERIENCE:
- 1 year experience working on a restaurant line
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Familiar with industry’s best practices

COMPENSATION:
The Executive offers a highly competitive compensation package for employees in part-time positions which includes, a base hourly rate range of $12.00 to $15.00. (Negotiable based on experience and skills), Health club membership included. (Valued at over $1,000 per year) Employee discounts across our collection of company’s services which include a number of offerings.
