Executive Consulting and Solutions, LLC has been retained by Indiana Juvenile Renewal Network, Inc of Southern Indiana to search for our newest team members. We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Juvenile Transport Officer to ensure the safe and secure transportation of youth involved in juvenile justice programs. This vital role involves coordinating transportation logistics, supervising youth during transit, and maintaining compliance with all safety and legal standards. Duties
- Safely transport juvenile offenders or youth involved in juvenile justice programs between detention facilities, Indiana Department of Corrections facilities, court appearances, and community placements.
- Supervise youth during transit to ensure their safety, comfort, and adherence to behavioral expectations.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage youth positively and promote cooperation during transportation.
- Monitor and document all transportation activities accurately, including incident reports and case management notes.
- Collaborate with law enforcement officers, social workers, and other stakeholders to coordinate transportation schedules and address any issues that arise.
- Manage conflict situations (Crisis Prevention and Intervention) effectively through de-escalation strategies and conflict management skills to maintain a secure environment.
- Ensure compliance with all legal regulations, safety protocols, and agency policies throughout each transport operation.
Experience
- Prior supervising experience in security, law enforcement, social work, or military settings is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated knowledge of juvenile justice procedures, case management practices, or social services is preferred.
- Experience in conflict management and de-escalation techniques to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
- Background in law enforcement or security roles that involve transportation or detainee supervision is advantageous.
- Familiarity with motivational interviewing methods to foster positive engagement with youth during transit.
- Proven ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including law enforcement officers, social workers, and community service providers.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and compliance purposes.
