Job Summary:
A Laundry Attendant is responsible for washing and folding towels used for both night and daytime cleaning. They should be able to do so efficiently and keep track of towels turned in and sent out. This position is a daytime variable position.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Lifting: Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds up to waist level in order to carry totes filled with towels.
· Bending and kneeling: To put towels in the washer and dryer, pick up towels and totes, etc.
· Washing, drying, and folding: Towels, mop heads and occasionally other items.
· Reaching: To grab towels and other items and to stack folded towels.
· Climbing: Stairs.
· Walking and standing: For long periods of time while performing job duties.
· Laundry room: Kept clean, tidy and in working order.
· Counting: Ensuring that the correct number of towels are turned in and sent out to the appropriate accounts.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Committed, dependable, responsible, and consistent.
· Must be able to work with little supervision.
· Must be able to perform the rigors of the job.
Job Type: Part-time
