Is seeking qualified applicants for our School-age Summer Program.
Job Description:
· Responsible for supervision of children and implementing a program of activities that promotes the social, emotional and physical development of each child.
· Orients new parents and children to classroom
· Ensures positive communication with parents daily.
· Maintains a safe, clean, and organized classroom
· Provides appropriate emotional support for each child
· Builds positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
· Planning and implementing the daily program of activities based on principles of child development and in accordance with the program’s curriculum
· Performs other duties as required or assigned
Conditions for Employment:
· This position is subject to satisfactory clearance of all background checks The Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) Office of Childcare (OCC) and General Services Administration Clearance.
Qualifications:
· High school Diploma or GED
· Minimum 1 year experience.
· Must have effective strong communication skills (orally & written).
· Must be willing to work flexible hours in order to meet the needs of the program
· Must meet the Maryland State Department of Education-Office of Childcare (MSDE-OCC) qualifications.
· CDA School-age or
· 90 Hour Certificate in School-age or
· AA or BA in Early Childhood Education
· Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA 3 Hour Training)
· Basic Health & Safety Training
· 9 Hour Communication Training
