What are the responsibilities and job description for the Virginia Associate Attorney position at Executive Alliance?
Our client, a well-respected law firm based in Norfolk, Virginia, is seeking to add an Associate Attorney to join the firm’s Collections practice. The Associate Attorney will collaborate with the firm’s other Virginia lawyers and the broader Collections department to deliver outstanding service to the firm’s clients, which include municipalities, health systems, and many of the nation’s largest credit card issuers.
Job Function:
- The ideal applicant should have excellent communication skills and be admitted to practice law in Virginia.
- Candidates with State or District Court experience will be highly considered.
- Maryland or North Carolina licensure is a plus.
- Recent law school graduates who have passed the Virginia bar are welcome to apply.
- Salary is commensurate with experience and ability.

Candidate qualifications:
- Admitted and in good standing to practice law in Virginia
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Hardworking and easy to work with
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with technology
- Knowledge of debt collection is ideal but not required
- Courtroom experience (both motion practice and trial) is ideal but not required
