Key Responsibilities
- Provide phone-based technical support for residential and commercial products.
- Troubleshoot product service, installation, performance, and operational issues.
- Ask detailed diagnostic questions to determine the source of equipment or product problems.
- Guide customers and technicians through step-by-step troubleshooting procedures.
- Interpret technical instructions, product documentation, service manuals, and specifications.
- Explain technical information in a clear and understandable manner to callers with varying levels of product knowledge.
- Document customer interactions, reported issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately.
- Escalate complex or unresolved technical issues to the appropriate internal teams.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service while managing technical inquiries.
- Minimum of 1 year of technical support, maintenance, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or related hands-on experience preferred.
- Previous Tier 1 technical support experience is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose problems through conversation and technical questioning.
- Ability to read and comprehend technical instructions, manuals, diagrams, correspondence, and product documentation.
- Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to learn the operation, installation, and troubleshooting requirements of multiple product types.
- Comfortable providing detailed technical guidance over the phone.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating with technical and customer support teams.
- Must be able to work a hybrid schedule in Montgomery, AL.
