What You Get To Do
- Perform mold changes and setup functions for injection molding and/or thermoforming machines
- Load and position molds into presses and complete changeovers
- Set up and adjust auxiliary equipment (heat controllers, chillers, thermolators)
- Monitor machine operation and adjust settings to ensure product quality
- Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of molds and equipment
- Inspect molds for defects and ensure proper storage
- Complete documentation for all changeovers and setups
- Troubleshoot production issues and support process improvements
- Train and assist operators on proper machine usage and safety procedures
- Safely operate forklifts and other equipment as needed
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 6 months of plastic manufacturing or molding experience preferred
- Experience with injection molding, thermoforming, or similar processes
- Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and technical specifications
- Forklift experience preferred (or ability to obtain certification)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus
