Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cherry Picker Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. Responsibilities
- Operate cherry pickers, reach trucks, forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo equipment safely and efficiently to pick, load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or notify maintenance for mechanical issues to ensure optimal operation
- Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS), including barcode scanning for logistics accuracy and updating stock levels
- Pick orders accurately by following picking tickets or digital instructions while adhering to safety standards in production and warehouse operations
- Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of materials through manual handling techniques and heavy lifting procedures in compliance with OSHA standards
- Maintain organized storage areas by stacking pallets securely and ensuring materials are stored according to warehouse distribution protocols
- Assist with shipping & receiving processes by verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and preparing outgoing deliveries with proper documentation
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, forklift trucks (lift truck), clamp trucks, pallet jacks, Hi-Lo, and manual handling tools
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning technology for logistics tracking
- Familiarity with safety standards in production environments including OSHA regulations and forklift safety protocols
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle materials with mechanical knowledge of material handling equipment operation
- Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy
- Warehouse experience with a focus on order picking, shipping & receiving, and warehouse distribution processes
- Mechanical aptitude for equipment repair or troubleshooting is a plus
