Excite Pharma Services is a contract research organization (CRO) & contract manufacturing organization (CMO) providing analytical & manufacturing services to pharmaceutical clients in support of new drug development and technical transfer of existing pharmaceuticals both human and animal.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Analyze for Pharmaceutical Compounds as requested along with helping other Chemists and Lab Technicians. Ensure proper documentation of samples, standards and reagents is being followed.

Specific responsibilities:
- Maintenance, repair and calibration of equipment.
- Assuring adequate inventory of reagents, standards, and supplies.
- Assuring proper records of reagents, standards, supplies and samples.
- Understanding and/or experience with methods being used in the laboratory.
- Training and assisting technicians and other staff assigned to help chemists with sample extraction, digestion, and cleanup of sample extracts for instrumental analysis.
- Verifying that records including sample preparation records are completed and maintained for each analysis conducted in their technical area.
- Instrumental analysis and parsing/entering data to generate reports for analyst review.
- Reviewing own work and those performed by other chemists and technicians in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Reviewing and editing Standard Operating Procedures for equipment as assigned by VPO and/or PM.
- Completing checklists to document review; and making recommendations for technical decisions.
- Investigating and evaluating new methodology and equipment in response to client requirements as assigned by VPO, MP and/or PM.
- Optimization of laboratory methods or method development as needed.
- Data review for other analysis areas.
- Ensure compliance with Laboratory Q.A. Manual, Safety Manual, and GMP/GLP regulations.
- Ensure paperwork for samples/standards is completed properly.
- Ensure maintenance and calibration information is tracked appropriately.
- Ensure ordering and receiving is being completed following the Standard Operating Procedures.

Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Equivalent Experience
- 5 years of Experience
- HPLC experience
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals and/or groups both within the organization or while representing the organization
- Maintain thorough understanding of sampling techniques
- Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) and other office applications
Skills:
- Ability to prioritize and schedule analysis to meet sample turnaround time
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Acts accordingly to the environmental standards of ethics and integrity.
- Must be able to work will all chemicals associated with an environmental and pharmaceutical testing laboratory
- Must have communication skills with the ability to work with others
- Excellent time management skills which includes the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, while achieving different deadlines
- Familiar with laboratory computer software and Microsoft Office Suite
