Exchange Bank is looking for a Loan Documentation Specialist to join our team! The Loan Documentation Specialist prepares and reviews loan documentation for all loan types including consumer, residential, letters of credit, commercial, commercial real estate, construction, lines of credit and SBA loans ensuring accuracy and compliance of loan documents and collateral perfection.
Essential Functions
- Loan Documentation:
- Coordinate with processing, underwriting and loan officers to ensure a complete doc package.
- Review incoming documentation requests to determine appropriate loan structure and documents required for completeness.
- Knowledge of entity organizational documents to confirm good standing, validate signing authorities and ensure compliance with lending guidelines.
- Prepare loan documents for consumer, residential, letters of credit, commercial, commercial real estate, construction, lines of credit and SBA loans, from low to high complexity, in accordance with bank policies and procedures and ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Prepare change in terms agreements that amend the original promissory note including rate modifications, re-amortization of complex payment structures, extensions and renewals.
- Review commercial leases and Promissory Notes to accurately prepare subordinating documents
- Prepare and provide processing detailed escrow instructions for submission to escrow companies ensuring efficient closing and funding.
- Complete all required loan documentation including preparation of new UCC filings or UCC amendments, loan checklists, and escrow instructions.
- Ability to work independently in a fast paced, high-volume environment
- Ability to prioritize workflow and manage a pipeline of multiple loans ensuring files are processed within established SLA.
- Quality Control:
- Complete peer review of loan documents to ensure accuracy and completeness as detailed in credit approval and request for docs
- Non-Essential Duties:
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- A combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma and knowledge typically gained through 1-2 years of experience in loan servicing, loan documentation or quality control.
- Basic knowledge in using the software LaserPro, FIS/IBS and Abrigo.
- Basic knowledge of consumer, residential, letters of credit, commercial, commercial real estate, construction, lines of credit and loans documentation methods and procedures.
- Basic knowledge of loan documentation regulatory and compliance codes and statues.
- Basic knowledge of lien perfection requirements for loan types.
- Basic knowledge of SBA lending documentation regulations, guidelines and best practices preferred, but not required.
- Skills operating a personal computer including word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.
- Office worker: Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist and turn. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally. Indoor office work environment with a majority of time sitting at a desk.
Compensation:
The compensation range for this position is to $27.85 to $37.50 per hour. The compensation offered will fall within this range, commensurate with the candidate's applicable experience, education and skills and experience.Salary : $28 - $38
