What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Clinician (11-month) position at Exceptional Student Education?
This position includes a $6,000 supplement if you hold a valid State License as a Mental Health Counselor or a Clinical Social Worker.
Required Qualifications:
- Currently possess a valid Florida License as a Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern, or Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern.
- At least three (3) years of successful experience in providing mental health counseling to students with significant emotional/behavioral disabilities.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- Graduate work beyond the Master’s level.
- Florida Educator’s Certificate in Psychology, School Social Work or School Counseling.

BACKGROUND SCREENING:
All prospective employees must submit to a Level 2 background check pursuant to Florida State Statute 435.04 and be found eligible by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. The background check will include, but is not limited to, fingerprinting for statewide criminal history records checks through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, national criminal history records checks through the Federal Bureau of Investigation, local criminal records checks through local law enforcement agencies, and a search of the sexual predator and sexual offender registries of any state in which the prospective employee resided during the immediate preceding 5 years.
