What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housing Advocate position at Exceptional Family Resources?
ARISE seeks a self-directed, highly motivated person who is interested in joining our housing services team to help individuals with disabilities find affordable and, if needed, accessible housing options in Onondaga County. The majority of time will be spent finding apartment leads and assisting consumers secure appropriate housing. This position is also responsible for making monthly check-in calls to a limited number of individuals who receive rental assistance from one of our agency's housing assistance programs. As an Independent Living Center (ILC), ARISE promotes the full inclusion of people with disabilities in the community. Qualified candidates should have a high school diploma, knowledge of community resources (housing and ADA regulations); and must be able to visit inaccessible housing sites. Candidates must possess a valid and violation free NYS driver's license and the use of registered, inspected, insured reliable transportation.
Salary : $40,000 - $41,500
