Senior Network Administrator
Excentium, Inc. is a Service-Disabled Veteran owned small business that provides Cyber Security Engineering, Information Assurance (IA), management, Certification and Accreditation (C&A), and other IT services to government and commercial organizations.
We have an opportunity for a Senior Network Administrator supporting one of our Federal customers in Falls Church, VA.

Overview
Network Administrators will be supporting customer HQ, the mission is to provide Information Technology (IT) implementation support at the customer HQ Falls Church and various support sites. This position works closely with the IT Office Coordinator(s), and IT Support Specialist to give those positions assistance in fulfilling their respective responsibilities to keep all computer operations functioning throughout customer HQ and remote sites. Some of the duties of the network administrator include installing, configuring and upgrading network infrastructure and associated devices, diagnosing and troubleshooting both common and unusual network problems, performing preventive maintenance on the network, along with monitoring performance on both the local area network (LAN) and wide area network. This position is also responsible for the installation, operations, upgrade, performance, and monitoring of the network and application servers.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- The employee shall have knowledge of LAN, WLAN and WAN technologies.
- Provide installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and implementation support to customer HQ supported activities.
- Review and analyze network infrastructure surveys, WLAN heat maps, floor plans, cable drop placement and counts, data analysis, network design and implementation as part of an established network design engineering team in support of customer directed requirements.
- Make VLAN and SubNet changes based on the IP Plan; where errors exist within the IP Plan due to missed assets, submit IP Plan change request with missing information
- Schedule downtime among stakeholders to apply configuration change per IP Plan and migration plan
- Test connectivity through pre and post migration activities
- Support workstation, printer, file server, and user migration from legacy environment to the target environment
- Assist with troubleshooting network, SCCM, active directory, websites and PPSM failures
- Map ports using network tools or devices as required
- Review and verify customer IT VLAN/IP Plan assignments for core infrastructure
- Check for VLAN conflicts against current MTF VLAN assignments
- Coordinate and track PPS for LAN/WLAN core infrastructure services to support management authentication to network management systems, remote management access, etc.
- Configure network management interface (virtual routing and forwarding [VRF] and physical connections if needed) on core switches
Requirements:
- Current Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering
- 10 years’ experience
- Security
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
