Hicks Machine is now part of Excelus Holdings, an AS9100 and ISO 9001 certified, ITAR registered precision manufacturing platform supporting Aerospace, Defense, Semiconductor, Medical, and Industrial customers.
Under new ownership, Excelus Holdings is investing heavily in long-term growth, advanced equipment, expanded capabilities, and the skilled people needed to support complex customer programs. This includes continued investment in CNC technology, automation, 5-axis milling, live-tooling lathes, mill-turn capabilities, and production systems built for high-reliability manufacturing.
Our work supports critical DoD programs, aerospace and defense platforms, semiconductor equipment, medical device components, and complex industrial applications. We are growing quickly and looking for experienced Class A Machinists who want to be part of that next chapter.
Responsibilities include:
- Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce precision components
- Work with live tooling, bar feeders, and advanced turning equipment when applicable
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
- Apply GD&T and tight tolerance requirements
- Select tooling, make offsets, and troubleshoot machining or tooling issues
- Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measuring equipment
- Work closely with engineering, quality, and management to improve processes and support production needs
- Maintain machines and work areas to support safe, efficient production
Ideal candidates will have:
- Senior-level or Class A CNC lathe experience
- Strong setup, operation, and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with Fanuc controls preferred
- Strong understanding of tooling, offsets, speeds, feeds, and machining best practices
- Ability to work from complex prints and specifications
- Experience in aerospace, defense, semiconductor, medical, or other precision manufacturing environments preferred
- A strong focus on quality, accuracy, and reliability
