Duties
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and facilitate smooth check-in and check-out processes using electronic health care systems (ECW system).
- Collect and document vital signs, patient histories, and current medications to support accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as taking administering medications, performing basic life support (BLS), and supporting procedures in outpatient settings.
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient intake forms, insurance documentation, and ICD coding to ensure precise billing and recordkeeping.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas while adhering to safety protocols for infection control.
- Provide excellent patient service by answering questions, offering guidance on procedures, and ensuring a positive experience throughout their visit.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or Receptionist.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, medication administration, and vital signs measurement.
- Familiarity with EHR systems for documentation and scheduling in Eclinicalworks system (preferred not required)
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced environments like urgent care.
- Excellent communication skills to provide compassionate patient care and coordinate effectively with healthcare teams.
- Ability to stand for extended periods while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail in all tasks.
