What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing Manager of Emergency Dept [ED] position at Excelsior Springs City Hospital?
The Nursing Manager of the Emergency Department is accountable for the overall leadership, management, operations, clinical quality, regulatory compliance, staffing, and financial performance of the Emergency Department. This position provides direct oversight of all nursing and support staff assigned to the Emergency Department and is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered emergency care. The manager is fully accountable for ED operations, staffing, quality, patient experience, safety, and departmental performance. Emergency physicians and advanced practice providers do not report to this position but are key collaborative partners.

Minimum Qualifications
- BSN required
- Missouri RN License
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications within 30 days of hire
- 5 years emergency nursing experience and 3 years leadership experience
- NIMS completion within 90 days of hire
