Excelsior Safety is looking for Multiple Safety Professionals to join our team!

Candidates must be local or willing to relocate to the greater Columbus, OH area.

Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with managers, at different levels.
  • Must be adaptable and comfortable with day-to-day and last-minute changes in location, jobsite, and working conditions.
  • Support the Site Management team and assist with oversight of employees and enforcement of safety policies and procedures.
  • Inspect site for compliance with company safety rules and regulations as well as all federal, state and local agencies guidelines.
  • Manage training records, inspection sheets, audits, and other documents related to occupational safety.
  • Ensure that all safety equipment is in good condition and that safety procedures are followed when using equipment.
  • Observe morning safety discussions with tradespeople to discuss hazards and controls.
  • Conduct daily site inspections and maintain a site presence.
  • Prepare and conduct weekly toolbox talks and stand-downs as needed.
  • Deliver engaging safety training programs tailored to construction sites and industrial settings, emphasizing risk management, hazard identification, OSHA compliance, and occupational health.
  • Evaluate trainees to ensure competency.
  • Continued education; staying up to date and relevant in occupational safety and health standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A degree in Occupational Safety, or similar; or, 7 year's in a dedicated (construction) safety role and a CHST (or other BCSP certification).
  • Background check, credit check, MVR, and drug screen may be required (will vary by position).
  • Knowledge of all federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
  • Ability to recognize hazardous acts and behaviors, and coach workers in the field to control hazards.
  • Knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Computer literacy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual candidates
  • "Mega-project" experience (power plants, airports, hospitals, data centers, and large infrastructure)
  • Experience managing subcontractors
  • Ability to work all days and shifts
  • ASP or CSP certification

  • Associate (Required)

Experience:

  • Construction safety (dedicated safety role): 7 years (Required)
  • General Contractor: 5 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

Ability to Relocate:

  • Columbus, OH 43240: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)
