About the Role: Gunnison Copper is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Assistant Process Operator to support daily operations at our chemical processing plant. Reporting to the Leaching Supervisor, this entry-level position assists with plant operations, equipment monitoring, and general maintenance duties.

- Assist Process Operators in operating pumps, valves, and pipelines.
- Help collect and label solution samples for testing.
- Support chemical dosing adjustments under supervision.
- Perform basic equipment checks and housekeeping tasks.
- Enter operational data into logbooks and spreadsheets as directed.
- Operate forklifts and mobile equipment (or be willing to train).
- Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all site safety protocols.
- Assist in updating SOPs and reporting equipment issues to maintenance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year experience in industrial, mining, or plant operations preferred (not required).
- Willingness to learn chemical processes and plant systems.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions accurately.
- Basic computer and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor/plant environments.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, any of seven days per week.
