What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Therapist-Contractor position at Excelsior Mental Health Services?

Duties:
- Conduct client assessments to determine mental health needs and develop treatment plans
- Provide individual, couple, family and/or group therapy sessions to clients
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, EMDR, etc.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate client care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation

Qualifications/Requirements for Contractors:
- A Master's degree in a clinical field of study such as Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Social Work.
- Active independent clinical license (LPCC, LCSW, LMFT) in good standing from the NM Counseling and Therapy or Social Work Board
- Individual liability insurance coverage of $1,000,000/$3,000,000
- A Limited Liability Corporation as we are contracting with your private business for tax purposes (I can guide you through this process as necessary)
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Strong assessment skills to accurately diagnose mental health conditions
- Ability to develop and implement effective and evidence-based treatment plans based on client needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with clients and their families
