Job Opportunity: Speech Language Pathologist (PRN)

Facility: Live Oak Healthcare and Rehabilitation

Location: Live Oak, Florida

Shift: PRN

Salary: $55-$57 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to acquire adaptive communication devices and train residents in their use.
• Design personalized therapy activities based on residents' abilities, interests, and goals.
• Consult with the team to develop individualized therapeutic regimens tailored to each resident's needs.
• Instruct and guide residents in skill-building activities, monitoring their progress and adaptability.
• Adapt therapy programs to meet evolving resident needs and goals.
• Actively participate in care meetings, staffing, and facility events.
• Lead training programs for medical, nursing, and therapy staff in speech therapy techniques.
• Supervise support personnel following state and professional standards.
• Foster a compassionate environment that respects individual needs and rights.
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
• Certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Florida.
• Eligible for a Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Nursing home experience is preferred but not required.
