Key Responsibilities
- Support the Director and Assistant Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and overseeing daily nursing operations
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff to ensure high-quality, resident-centered care
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels and adjust assignments as needed for optimal coverage
- Conduct routine rounds to monitor resident care and staff performance; report findings to leadership
- Participate in state surveys, audits, and regulatory inspections
- Review and implement resident care plans, including discharge planning
- Ensure accurate medication administration and timely completion of treatments
- Provide direct nursing care and assessments as needed
- Oversee new admissions, ensuring a smooth and welcoming transition
- Collaborate with physicians during rounds when necessary
- Address staff concerns professionally and escalate issues appropriately
- Assist in performance evaluations for LPNs and CNAs
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall facility operations
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current, active RN license in New Jersey
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in long-term care, subacute, or geriatric settings
- At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience
- Current CPR certification
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
