Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 per year (Based on Experience)

Cypress Garden Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and organized Recreation Director to lead our Recreation Department. In this role, you will design and oversee innovative and engaging programs that enrich the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of our residents. Your leadership will ensure that activities meet residents’ interests while complying with federal, state, and facility standards.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, and manage diverse recreational programs tailored to residents’ needs and abilities
• Promote resident participation to foster social engagement, cognitive stimulation, and emotional wellness
• Ensure programs comply with regulatory standards, including facility policies and procedures
• Supervise, train, and motivate recreational staff to deliver high-quality programs
• Maintain accurate documentation and assessments of residents’ interests and participation
  
  
  

Candidate Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Must participate in facility group communications via WhatsApp
• Minimum 2 years of social or recreational programming experience within the last 5 years in a Nursing home setting
