Position: Laundry / Housekeeping Aide

Location: Boca Raton, FL

Schedule: Part-Time | 4:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Pay Rate: $15.00/hour

Yamato Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dependable and hardworking Laundry / Housekeeping Aide to help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents. This role is essential in supporting daily operations and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and infection control throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory residents’ clothing and personal items upon admission and ensure proper labeling
• Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including cleaning washers, dryers, lint filters, and dispensers
• Wash contaminated linens separately in accordance with infection control standards
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and residents’ clothing
• Inspect garments for cleanliness and condition; press as needed
• Collect soiled linens throughout the facility and prepare items for laundering
• Follow established washing and drying procedures
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain floors, walls, ceilings, furniture, and fixtures
• Polish and sanitize sinks, mirrors, water fountains, doors, and surfaces
• Vacuum and shampoo carpets and rugs
• Change slipcovers, linens, and decorative items as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of supply and storage areas
• Perform additional housekeeping and laundry duties as assigned
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of housekeeping and/or laundry experience preferred
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care setting strongly preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
