Key Responsibilities
- Maintain control and accountability of resident clothing and personal laundry items.
- Distribute freshly laundered clothing daily, ensuring items are matched correctly to residents and room numbers.
- Relabel clothing and personal items as needed.
- Keep residents’ closets neat, organized, and well-maintained.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized laundry area.
- Safely operate laundry equipment and handle cleaning supplies according to facility procedures.
- Interact with residents, families, and staff in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner.
- Complete, review, and maintain required laundry documentation accurately.
- Follow established infection-control, safety, and facility procedures.
- At least 1 year of laundry or related experience preferred; on-the-job training is available.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn new methods and adapt to best practices.
- Ability to safely handle cleaning products and follow all safety procedures.
- A positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent service to residents.
