Heartland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. In this full-time role, you will work closely with residents to help them regain independence, improve functional abilities, and reach their rehabilitation goals while enhancing their overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
Support Therapy Programs
Assist in implementing individualized occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
Promote Independence
Guide residents in performing daily living activities and improving functional skills to enhance independence.
Provide Hands-On Care
Support residents through therapeutic exercises and activities that aid recovery from illness, injury, or physical limitations.
Collaborate with the Care Team
Work closely with therapists, nurses, and other interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated, resident-centered care.
Maintain Compliance
Document therapy sessions accurately while maintaining resident confidentiality and adhering to all healthcare regulations and facility policies.

Qualifications
- Active Florida COTA License required
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Long-term care experience preferred but not required
