Position Summary:

The Quality System Manager (QSM) is responsible for maintaining Pegasus’ FAA Part 145 Repair Station compliance, overseeing all quality assurance, auditing, and training system functions. This role ensures the integrity of Pegasus’ maintenance, repair, and operational programs, supporting both regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate holds an FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license and brings hands-on experience with Boeing and Airbus aircraft. As a key leader within our maintenance organization, the QSM may occasionally perform duties as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) to support operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure company compliance with FAA, EASA, JCAB, CAAC, and other foreign aviation authority regulations.
  • Maintain and oversee compliance with Pegasus Operations Specifications in accordance with FAR Part 145.205.
  • Prepare for and host audits by the FAA, EPA, OSHA, customer QA teams, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies through root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for all compliance-related activities.
  • Establish and maintain quality control benchmarks and internal audit programs.
  • Qualify, evaluate, and monitor approved vendors and suppliers to ensure adherence to Pegasus standards.
  • Collaborate with customers to address service discrepancies, develop action plans, and align on process improvements.
  • Audit maintenance and operational documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop and deliver company indoctrination, recurrent, and on-the-job training programs.
  • Maintain training records in accordance with FAA and Pegasus standards.
  • Support team members and leadership in building a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Perform limited line maintenance functions on transport-category aircraft as needed.
  • Safely operate ground handling equipment and ensure compliance with all safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, professional, and well-organized work environment.
  • Perform other duties as required by operational needs.

Qualifications:

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification required.
  • Boeing and Airbus experience strongly preferred.
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED; advanced technical education a plus.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and under tight deadlines in a high-paced aviation environment.
  • Flexible to work nights, weekends, holidays, and in varying weather conditions.

Skills & Competencies.

Language Skills:

  • Read and interpret FAA regulations, maintenance manuals, and operational procedures.
  • Draft quality reports, policy updates, and correspondence.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and regulatory representatives, including those for whom English is a second language.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Proficient in basic arithmetic using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Abilities:

  • Apply sound judgment and problem-solving in complex, non-standardized situations.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach.
  • Ability to lift, carry, move, push, or pull 30–50 lbs unassisted.
  • Must have corrected 20/20 vision, good hearing, and use all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Work in environments with moderate to high noise levels depending on location and aircraft activity.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
