Job Summary
We are seeking a Dental Patient care Coordinator to join our team.Location
We are seeking a Full-Time Dental Insurance Coordinator to join our front-office team. This role is ideal for someone who is confident with insurance verification, excellent with patient communication, and skilled at keeping a dental office schedule running smoothly.
This is not a billing/claims position. We have a full billing team and a patient accounts specialist.
Your focus will be front-office insurance accuracy and schedule optimization.
Key Responsibilities
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits with accuracy (Dentrix Ascend)
• Greet and check in/out patients with a warm, positive attitude
• Calculate copays confidently and clearly for parents
• Ensure the schedule stays optimized, filled, and flowing smoothly
• Communicate with parents about coverage, authorizations, and treatment timing
• Coordinate with clinical staff to avoid delays
• Support a fast-paced dental environment with professionalism and empathy
Requirements
• Prior experience in a dental front office role (insurance knowledge required)
• Strong understanding of dental insurance breakdowns
• Ability to recognize insurance discrepancies and resolve them
• Proficiency with Dentrix Ascend or willingness to learn quickly
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Organized, reliable, and proactive
• Enjoys working with children and families
