For any staffing requirements, whether long-term, short-term, or permanent, payroll or project based, Excel Staffing is ready to assist.About the role:The Safety Specialist will perform full-time onsite construction safety related duties on datacenter builds throughout the United States. Prior safety experience is required. Immediate hiring needs are located in the cities listed below. Additional projects and needs will continue to grow across other locations throughout the US.Responsibilities:Serve as an owners representative for safetyDuties as required by 1926 OSHA Standards for ConstructionEnsure compliance for the safety of site workers and general publicDevelop safety kick-off presentations and conduct on-site orientations and pre-shift meetingsConduct daily site safety inspections, safety assessments and safety auditsInvestigate incidents and complete associated paperworkConduct risk assessmentsMake recommendations concerning the modification, improvement, or removal of any company equipment, facilities, or machinery that is hazardous to employee safety or healthCompile daily, weekly, and monthly reports as requested by management or customerServe as company liaison with overseeing municipalities, OSHA, Insurance carriers and other regulatory agenciesMaintain all safety related documentationEducation/Qualifications:Fluent in English, written and verbalOSHA 510 Hr. for ConstructionBCSP Board Certified preferredCollegiate Degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or equivalent preferredAbility to teach and train others on safety programs (required)Ability to identify known potential exposures and recommending corrective actionAbility to read and understand drawings and specificationsProficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelTechnological competency5-10 years of construction safety experience2-4 years of high voltage experienceCertification (CHST/CSP) is strongly preferredWhat we offer:This project-based opportunity has full-time potential. The current project will be from 1-3 years, The schedule will vary, however, the expectation for the position is a minimum of 40 hours weekly to 70 hours weekly as required by client. This is a 1099 contract; depending on experience, and ranges from $55-57 per hour. You must reside in the area and able to commute successfully for day-to-day operation.
