The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neuropsychology, particularly in working with children with Autism and Learning Disabilities. The Pediatric Neuropsychologist will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and developing tailored intervention strategies to support our students' educational and emotional needs.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct Comprehensive Assessments:Perform thorough neuropsychological evaluations for children with Autism and Learning Disabilities.Utilize a variety of assessment tools and techniques to inform diagnosis and intervention.Collaborate with Clinical Team:Work closely with educators, therapists, and other clinical staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress, challenges, and needs.Develop Intervention Strategies:Provide evidence-based recommendations for interventions tailored to each childs unique needs.Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented strategies, making adjustments as necessary.Provide Support and Guidance:Offer support and guidance to parents and guardians regarding their childs neuropsychological needs and development.Educate staff on neuropsychological principles and effective support strategies.Stay Informed:Keep abreast of the latest research and best practices in pediatric neuropsychology and related fields.QualificationsEducation:Doctorate in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) with a specialization in Pediatric Neuropsychology.Licensure: Active licensure as a psychologist in the state of Illinois.Experience: Proven experience working with children with Autism and Learning Disabilities. Familiarity with diagnostic criteria and intervention strategies for neurodevelopmental disorders.Skills: Strong assessment and diagnostic skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
