Job Description
We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Part-Time Kitchen Staff to join our team at Excel Prep. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in creating a supportive dining experience for our students, ensuring that their nutritional needs are met in a safe and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Food Preparation:
- Assist in preparing healthy meals and snacks tailored to students' dietary requirements.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.
- Kitchen Maintenance:
- Keep the kitchen and dining areas clean and organized.
- Help with inventory management of food supplies and kitchen equipment.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with teaching staff to accommodate various dietary needs and preferences.
- Engage with students during meal times to promote social interaction and inclusivity.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or kitchen environment is preferred.
- Food Handling License or equivalent certification is required.
- Basic knowledge of dietary needs, particularly for children with autism and learning disabilities.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Passion for working with children and contributing to their well-being.
Work Schedule
- Part-time hours, approximately 15-20 hours per week.
- Flexible schedule to align with school hours and events.
