Job Title: Behavior Technician (BT)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to provide direct, one-on-one support to individuals with autism and other developmental or behavioral needs. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the BT will implement behavior intervention plans to help clients develop communication, social, and daily living skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy in home, school, clinic, or community settings.
- Implement individualized treatment plans designed by a BCBA.
- Collect accurate data on client progress during each session.
- Use positive reinforcement and other ABA strategies to encourage skill development and behavior improvement.
- Support clients in learning communication, self-help, and social interaction skills.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive environment.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other team members.
- Attend required training, supervision, and team meetings.
- Follow ethical guidelines and maintain client confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred).
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities preferred.
- Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow treatment plans accurately and work independently or as part of a team.
Work Environment:
- Sessions may take place in home, school, clinic, or community settings.
- May require physical activity, including bending, lifting, or engaging in play with clients.
